Terra Memoria (groupes)
Visit for groups : Terra Memoria is a place of interactive discovery recounting history of the Aveyronnais landscape from the creation of the Earth right up to today.
This discovery area on the edge of the Bozouls canyon tells the story of Aveyron?s landscapes and terroirs in an unusual way. A 65-metre-long frieze traces the history of life and the Earth, and traces the origins of Aveyron?s landscapes. Visitors travel from the formation of our planet to the Bozouls canyon and its horseshoe-shaped meander, the famous "Trou de Bozouls". Giant models also explain the origins of our landscapes. The showcases contain samples of mainly local origin, illustrating the geological diversity of Aveyron while also placing them in chronological perspective. Terra Memoria shows the close links between the nature of the rocks and the various components of the local heritage: traditional buildings, agricultural and industrial activities.
The tour ends at a belvedere overlooking the canyon, offering an exceptional view of the "Trou".
