Ostal des écrivains
L'Ostal des écrivains is a place dedicated to the 3 native poets of the village of Saint-Salvadou: Abbé Justin Bessou, André Pradel, Henri de Lestang and to the Occitan language.
The Ostal des écrivains aims to :
to promote 3 writers born in Saint-Salvadou between 1845 and 1912:
Abbé Justin Bessou, majoral of the Félibrige, and André Pradel, published with the greatest authors of his time: Robert Lafont, Ives Rouquette, Max Rouquette, Jean Boudou, wrote in Occitan. Henri de Lestang wrote in French and twice won the Académie française prize.
to promote Occitan literature by organizing presentations of books by their authors, and papers on authors.
organize themed temporary exhibitions linked to Occitan literature.
Everything is bilingual, to allow access to non-Occitan speakers.
