Moulin de Couffinhal à Couesques
This water mill already existed in 1683, it was destined for the production of flour and walnut oil and worked until 1970.
It is equipped with two pairs of flour millstones (under restoration) and of one oil millstone. During the visit, its owner (descendent of millers) will explain you the functionning of the milling and sieving systems for flour as well as the walnut oil fabrication with the millstone, the pan and the press. You will see operate the millstone dragged along thanks to the energy of the water, by the "roudet" (horizontal turbine). You will also see the additional developments : canal, pond, sluice gate and you can enjoy the banks of the creek "le Palefer".
