Le Jardin de la Mothe
Come and discover a splendid English garden in the hamlet of the Mothe in Salles Courbatiers. The garden has obtained the label "Jardin Remarquable". We have renovated the barn and installed a grand piano which enables us to organise concerts in the garden. Each weekend and in summer the garden propose homemade drinks and pastry.
La Mothe is a private artist's garden of 3500m, created around an old farmhouse in Aveyron. The garden was created in 1997. The earth is made of clay. The avenue of lime trees and hornbeam hedges were planted for the year 2000.
To create the structure there are euphorbias, sedam, phlomis, eleagnus, yuccas, boxwood with iris, hemerocallis, lysimachia firecracker, echinops, nepata, santolina and lavender for contrast and texture. Line trees, shrubs, linden avenue, Italian cypress, carved shrubs. Disabled access: partial.
