La Maison Robantine
On the Aubrac, a stone's throw from Laguiole, this traditional house offers spacious living accommodation and two refined suites in a peaceful setting. Breathtaking view of the Château du Bousquet.
Isabelle is delighted to welcome you to her charming 90 m2 house, which can accommodate 4 to 6 people.
This local stone house will seduce you with its warm atmosphere combining authenticity and modernity, and its landscaped outdoor space with terrace.
After a day exploring the riches of Aubrac, you'll appreciate the tranquility of the place, its large living space with a fully-equipped kitchen, a cosy lounge, a fireplace with a wood-burning stove, its two master bedrooms of 30m2 and 20m2 with their own private shower rooms, king size 180 beds (sheets and towels included), flat screens, safes, separate WC, wifi, Netflix.
La Maison Robantine takes its shape from an old farmhouse on the Aubrac plateau.
At the start of its restoration, and with the help of local craftsmen, I developed my gîte project. A year and a half later, a traditional construction was born, using local resources: stone, wood, fireplace and slate.
A vast enclosed plot of land surrounds the Maison Robantine. Here, you can relax in the shade of hundred-year-old oaks, or grill on the terrace, with the Château du Bousquet as your backdrop. A wood-burning stove in the center of the old fireplace will warm your evenings.
A compost bin is available at the end of the garden.
Numerous footpaths and secondary roads are open to you, allowing you to discover a rich and varied flora and fauna, waterfalls and lakes, beech forests, herds of Aubrac cows and burons in complete tranquillity.
A wide range of activities awaits you: hiking on the many GR trails or across the plateau, cycling or mountain biking, discovering the local heritage, horse riding, relaxation and treatments at the nearest hot springs, authentic or revisited local gastronomy... among other proposals.
A warm and peaceful place to recharge your batteries, just a few kilometers from Laguiole, the capital of Aubrac.
Here, traditions are preserved and the famous Laguiole knife is made, as well as the PDO cheese of the same name, Aligot de l'Aubrac with IGP fresh tome, and meats under the Fleur d'Aubrac and Boeuf Fermier Aubrac labels. The region is still home to the transhumance of cattle at the end of May and the beginning of October, flower and mushroom picking, Fario trout fishing, deer bellowing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing - it's not a place where you can get bored.
In short, there's plenty to do in a natural setting, in the heart of nature's bounty, in complete simplicity, far from the glitz and glamour, to get back to basics and reconnect with the fundamentals.
I'll make sure you don't leave here without some wonderful images and memories! :)
A simple, natural, generous, gourmet, rich stay, in a word: UNIQUE.
Welcome to La Maison Robantine.
