A rich history
Château des Bourines has a long history, beginning in the 12th century and continuing to be enriched by the various constructions added over the years.
originally a "monastic barn", the Bourines estate has evolved throughout history.
In the 13th century, it was an important breeding and grain storage site for the Aubrac region. A century later, the estate was fortified, earning it the title of château.
Over the centuries, the estate changed and expanded, and was even named "Mère nourrice d'Aubrac" in the 16th century.
In the centuries that followed, the farm buildings were considerably rebuilt and enlarged.
Today, visitors can admire a remarkable estate. Your guide will take you on a tour of the estate's exteriors and part of the Château's interior.
